Biography
Jah Bless is an artist that was introduced to music at an early age. At the age of 7 he began studying the saxophone under the direction of Elliot " Cool Breeze" Dottin, with whom Jah Bless began music lessons. At the age of 9 he began sitting in with his father's band, The Generation Gap where he played Jazz, Salsa, and Calypso music. Upon reaching middle school he started exploring other instruments such as trombone, clarinet, flute, and drums. During his middle school and high school career he received numerous superior awards from solo and ensemble festivals. He was selected to be in the all county and all state bands in the areas of symphony and jazz. After completing high school he continued to nurture his musical talent at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee Florida. He attended there on a musical scholarship and played with the infamous Marching 100. After his tenure with the Marching 100, Jah Bless then began perfecting his musical gift with the Ital Stew band, playing at various clubs and festivals in the United States. This is where he opened for many well known artist such as Michael McDonald of the Doobie brothers, Busta Rhymes, Lala Hathaway, Beenie Man, King Yellow man, Anthony B, Capelton, Sizzla, Coco Tea, Morgan Heritage, Luciano, Dean Fraser, Mickey General, Junior Kelly, Burning Spear, and many more. After leaving Tallahassee Florida he then came to Orlando where he joined the Chain Reaction Band, and he continued to back up well known artist such as Third World, Ras Shiloh, Ras Attitude, Johhny Osbourne, ShineHead, and many more. You can find Jah Bless with Chain Reaction every weekend at the BOB MARLEY Restaurant in Universal Studios City Walk in Orlando. Jah Bless is now show casing his talent in his first debut album entitled "Visions of Paradise in Sax" which was produced by Jason "Point Blank" Morgan of Conquering Lion Ent. Paradise is where Jah Bless will take you with his mystical saxophone sound. Remembering the great saxophone players of yester year such as John Coultrane, Grover Washington, Charlie Parker, Tommy McCook, and Dean Frasier. Jah Bless aims to carry the torch forward with new innovation for the saxophone fraternity. Jah Bless is one of the hottest artists out and is guaranteed to please any audience.
