Bio
Background
My early creative work involved creating and performing theatrical arrangements and large compositions for Progressive Rock and Metal groups such as Puppet Show and Chaos Theory. Some of my work was included in the release of two PuppetShow Albums: "Traumatized" and "The Tale of Woe". When I wasn't writing, I studied traditional and contemporary composing. My studies ranged from historical appreciation and music fundamentals to advanced harmony, counterpoint, and orchestral arrangement. I also studied stylistic approaches of Twentieth Century composers including Bela Bartok, John Cage, George Crumb, as well as my favorite composer Ruth Crawford-Seeger.
Orchestral Music
As I devoted more time to compositional arrangements, I started to write compositions for chamber and small orchestra. Since then, I have written and arranged for theatrical productions including Alan Sanborn's, "A Murder on Monster Street". Currently, I'm involved in "Gila River and Mama" - an independent film documentary scheduled for release in early 2010.
