The best kept secret in music

Jai Henry of the Mpls. Henrys comes from a fine family of singers/musicians. As they say, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" and that could not be more true in Jai's case. Beauitful and tender ballads sung with a sweet urgency that I can feel. "All's Fair" has sweet honest lyrics that touches my soul. "Beatrice" features Jai's unique and very soulful voice. Great Lyrics and Wonderful Singing - Jai is a Talent that has to be HEARD!!!

Like Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes, Jai Henry colors quirky, introspective indie-folk with occasional electronic flourishes. Henry's new album, "Shipwrecked on the Shores of Persephone," features melodies and lyrics that alternate between enigmatic and straightforward. The singer's wrecked voice is perfect for conveying the confusion and wonder of his precious little pop songs. - The Onion
Jai and the Minneapolis Henrys make you want to smile and dance. Carried by singer-songwriter Jai Henry's expressive voice and story telling lyrics, the melodic bright pop sound of "Shipwrecked" seems to say everything is an adventure so enjoy the ride. The loose and lively performances sound like Jai and his band are on your front porch, having good times singing about Colorado,
justice, tusks, and imaginative trips down fabulous Minnesota streets. This finely produced record is a great listen and well worth checking out - Jai Henry's star is rising and "Shipwrecked" will definitely send it many miles up!
