Jake Bergevin

Jake Bergevin

Jake's singing is a kick! I've heard him wail the blues of Jimmy Rushing, play and sing great solos and lay back toward Sinatra's swinging cool.

Currently the Vice President of the Washington Chapter of the International Association for Jazz Education, Jake’s success as a music student led to a Downbeat Award in 1985 and performing on stage with The Manhattan Transfer and Bobby McFerrin while still in high school. Jake earned a Master’s Degree in Trumpet Performance from Central Washington University and got the chance to play with musicians Ernestine Anderson, Ethel Ennis, Bill Watrous, Emily Remler and many more. Jake has played performances at many of Seattle’s most prestigious venues and events, including the Showbox Theatre, Paramount Theatre, Bumbershoot, Folklife Festival, five years running at the Ellensburg Jazz in the Valley Festival.
