Jake Brothers

Brothers’ rockin’ style reveals his passion to worship the one true God in a fresh way. With influences of hymns, pop and artists like U2, Matchbox 20, Chris Tomlin and David Crowder Band, Brothers’ music is noted for its true lyrics that are easy to sing and easily get stuck in your head.

Brothers’ debut record Reflection of You has had a great release. In August 2009, Brothers won the Gospel Music Association national competition with his song “The Way You Love Me.” He earned runner up in the vocal solo. Brothers also won the Walt Disney World Best in Show award and will perform at Disney’s Night of Joy, alongside Christian music’s biggest stars this fall.

Last summer, Brothers made it to the finals at GMA’s Music in the Rockies for songwriting, scripture song, and the band placed third overall. The Independent Music Awards also recognized Brothers entire album and single “Wonderful” in the 2008 finals. In its first six months of release, “Wonderful” was a finalist in the 2007 International Songwriting competition.

When he’s not playing shows for churches, camps, Campus Crusade, bars or coffee shops, Brothers’ full-time gig is Worship Director at Faith Church in Indianapolis. Faith has a focus on missions, which has allowed Brothers to bring his worship music to half a dozen countries on three continents for the last six years.

Growing up in Ashland, Ohio, Jake had the passion and desire to sing. He studied Music Business at Anderson University in Indiana, leading worship and playing in bands every chance he got.
