Jake Johnson

Playing beats/grooves on anything he could get his hand on at the age of 7.. Jacob Johnson didn't know his passion for drums until his12th birthday when he received his first drum kit. Right then he knew his gift was drumming... As he continued to pursue his drive for drums he found himself playing in many local churches and as well as musicians/bands. Which brought his talent to the point of growth that developed him into a unique sounding drummer with a voicing of a particular finesse and artisanship. He began to developed his technique by listening to various artists like Nathan Townsley, Dave Weckl, Steve Smith and Calvin rogers. Since his interest was struck by these players he ended up wanting to follow a music career..... Given that he has been self taught for over 10 years and has had over 15 years of playing experience. He decided to entered into Berklee College Music in 2008 and going as far as three successful years at the College. Playing with various Artists and Bands such as... Casey Corum (Vineyard Worship Records),Alex Han (Saxist for Marcus Miller Band), Deshawn and Indigo Moon, Karen Rodriguez ( American Idol Contestant) and Dynamic Sound (William Wells MD/Berklee GB Band), traveling throughout Boston, Ohio, NYC, and Jersey. While being at Berklee he was privately taught by Dave Dicenso, Mike Mangini, Terry Lynn Carrington Joe Galoeta, and Jackie Santos professors at Berklee. This access of different talents and even professional exposure has pushed him to further his goals as a musician. And is still moving forward in his career today.
Jacob has currently played and toured around the world with a former friend and artist Benjamin Dunn and has been on the road for the pass 5 years with various artists with well rounded experience in touring internationally.
