Biography

The Polar Cowboys (as called by French media) deliver nothing else but a genuine gem of Rock-Folk, without tricks and overproduction, all pure and true and among all, sensitive and real.

Jake Ziah released their Pitch Black EP in the greener part of spring 2003. 2004 and 2005 was spent writing, recording and releasing the first full album "These Days Do You No Justice". Jake Ziah's first album “These Days Do You No Justice” was described as “album of the year!”, “one of the great ones” and “fantastic!”. The album got five and six, out of six possible, in most of the Norwegian press. Words of praise everywhere their name is mentioned. They scored music featured on renowned film festivals in Tromso, Berlin, and London. The album was released in Norway in the spring of 2005 and a release is also in the making in Taiwan, and by now their music is available in France and the US and Japan.

2007 their second full album "Lights And Wires" is now up for release.

THE BAND
Arnar Vågen: Singer/Songwriter and contributor of roughly 50% of JZs songwriting and lead vocal duties. Arnar writes, sings and plays the guitar in Jake Ziah.

Syvert Holbek Feed: The second half of JZs songwriting backbone who returned from his exile in Lebanon only to find his songwriting and singing thriving on the experience (highly evident in songs like "Burn" from "These Days..."). He also learned some arabic. Syvert writes, sings and plays guitar in Jake Ziah.

Daniel Henriksen:
The third part of Jake Ziah is Daniel Henriksen. He sings backing vocals, plays harmonium organ and Fender Rhodes and his head is always full of beautiful melodies.
