Years of navigating through fields of sheep, chameleons and living sponges has made JakProgresso an artist of unbendable resolve and power. A talent that goes well beyond rap (his freestyles have always amazed top notch MCs and peers), Jak has almost too much passion, as evidenced in his younger days when he made 2 or 3 albums a week and then left the CD copies in random mailboxes as a prank.
Style? If Slick Rick met Gravediggaz and hit that leaky blunt by accident, then you might get a comparison. His body of work is scattered on legendary albums, his lyrics turn whole towns into Jak zombies and his live show leaves you wondering if the mirror shows his reflection. Yet, vision drives Progresso to the limit of collective knowledge into territory undefined as art yet. He's also an excellent babysitter. . - jOHNNY23.com

JAKPROGRESSO is a unique artist, but hardly known because of his ravenous actions, which pushed him over the edge and into a sickbay. A seasoned performer, who entered his first MC battle in 1998, he is now taking his music to the next level…there isn’t any senseless violence in his songs, or awe bombing; he is finally clear-headed and with a new double album release coming soon titled "B23", expect a whole different panache and approach, but with the same visuals, ingenuity, and imagination. Still filling napkins and notebooks with everything from his unstable childhood to his past drug dependency, JAKPROGRESSO recently released "Occult Seminar", which is a new EP that is energetic, yet melancholic, and filled with vivid, psychedelic imagery. It was created with producer Sebrox, who joined Jak while he was still in a treatment facility, and is now adding the finishing touches to their new album.
