Our influences range from old school funk to classic rock to techno with a touch of rap and ska. The music is full tilt concert style and fun for the crowd. We have a lot of fun and play every show like its the last one!!

Jerome is the lead singer / bass player /songwriter. From grade school to highschool he played in R&B / Funk bands with the drummer Louis and his cousin Vince.

Jerome joined the Airforce and served 2 years in Germany and playing in a classic rock group. He served his last 2 yrs in Georgia where he also hooked up with Warren Brooks and co-wrote a song that took 2nd place in the Tampa Budwieser showdown. Later Warren would write songs for Stevie B that would top the charts.

After the end of his 4 years in the service, Jerome came back to get married and start a euro/funkrock band called Colour Huemanity. That's when Eric McLear entered playing keys. The band was a big hit in Chicago club scene covering Duran/the fix/ the police among others. The original music got great air play and they made the list of the best new Chicago acts, along with The Smashing Pumpkins. They went on a star search audition and were picked for a college tour, but they didnt want to give up their originals.

During this time, Will Doherty was playing guitar in a band called Tiger Tiger that won the Street Rock album sponsored by the LOOP - out of 10,000 bands world wide they made the top 8.
Will later was in a band with Mark Trubay(SURVIVOR) and Robert Fleitchman (JOURNEY)
Will also worked with Sherwin Spector.

From 1996 to 1997 Jerome played bass and toured with the Dove nominated CHURCH OF RHYTHM.
After the end of the band, a new band was formed called SUPERCHICK and Jerome did the bass line on the track 'One Girl Revolution'. This song was played in the movie Legally Blonde and on MTV's REAL WORLD and several other shows.

JAM160D was first a song writing project.
The song 'If JESUS Was your Neighbor'
recieved an award from a BILLBOARD songwriter contest.

JAM160D's FIRST ALBUM 'FUNKY CHRISTIANS' keeps on getting attention since a 2001 release.
Its full of energy and a live sound.
The new album should be done this summer and the 4 song EP should be done late April.

What makes JAM160D different is they are a JAM BAND and different people jam with them and the music has a groove for everybody along with the lyrics. The band is very transparent and are not afraid of showing their emotions and talking about the story behind the music.

JAM160D can play any type of venue.
