Bio
Meet the American drummer, producer, and artist, Jamaal Cody. He graduated from the Musicians Institute of Los Angeles and is well known for his production through his touring. He’s made appearances around the world with some of todayʼs biggest artists. Some of which have been in the industry for as long as heʼs been alive. To name a few, you could have found Cody on stages with acts such as 98 Degrees, Delacey, Nick Lachey, Kymani Marley, Bahari, Asher Roth, Kevin Ross, Lola Lennox, and Fred Hammond. He’s also had appearances with Music Directors such as Arin Ray, Sammy Wilk, and Major Myjah.
After Jamaal Cody’s move to Los Angeles in 2013 and finishing school, he began diligently working on his brand and perfecting his craft. With everything he had learned and taught himself, he obtained a publishing deal with Rock Mafia in 2019. Thereʼs no real comparison to the work or character behind Jamaal Cody, but he is influenced by many artists which heavily reflects in his instrumental music; Such as J. Dilla, Coldplay, Jay Z, Michael Jackson, Prince, Chick Corea, and Dave Weckl, just to name a few. Cody’s first widely distributed project was released in August 2019 titled “5 Minutes Til 9”, a 10 track album showcasing some of his best production. In the Fall of 2019, Cody presented his fans with a 7 track upbeat, feel good, project titled Crystal Castle
In 2021, Cody has continued to be consistent in his releases and provided some of his best, classic material amidst the global pandemic. 5 Minutes Til 10, 5 Minutes Til 11, Crystal Castle Vol. 2, Space Jamz, Channel Greatness- Pt 1, and most recently Space Jamz Part II, were all released to digital platforms and feature the true essence of his talents.
