Jamera

With a style that can only be called Indie Pop, music infused with definite elements of jazz, hip hop, rock, and pop Jamera will definitely bring some variety to the world of R&B music. When a child is writing songs at the age of six and begins building a music resume by the age of eight, it is obvious the world has a super star in the making. Jamera began her recording career in 2003 with the Silver Moon Productions' CD, Light at Midnight; a project dedicated to abused women. A year later she headlined for the Save Africa Concerts project; Artists spreading AIDS awareness in the Pan-African Community.

Jamera is a talented singing/ songwriting/ producing artist who incorporates the popularity and marketability of todays trends in hip-hop and RnB with the powerful and witty lyrical ability Alternative and Indie audiences have always loved enjoyed and come back for more of. As an artist she has Aaliyah's cool and dancability, Beyonce's sex appeal, mixed with Lauryn Hill's soul and emotion, added with a pinch of Nina Simone's funny spunk and Whitney Houston's vocal Range.

This Alabama belle currently resides in Atlanta and has collaborated with producers such as Substantial of UV Ink entertainment, Senate Music Group (Rasheeda & Gucci Man), and PBJ Productions. In addition to her EP “The Sampler” which was released September 2006 and is available.

Jamera’s sweet melodies and spunky rhythms have captured audiences from Cali to Canada. Her voice has held down the mic in New York's famous SOB's, Pianos, Speed. Jamera has opened the mike for Def Jam’s Tierra Marie in NYC, DJ Drama and the Affiliates at club Zucca, club Miami and also played along side Dj Jelly in Atlanta.
