American Idol season 7 alum David Archuleta teamed up with Jamesthemormon on a new rap track, "Workin'".
The tune -- which features Archuleta singing the hook, "We out here grinding/we working"-- is from the rapper's missionary inspired EP, PMG.

WATCH: BYU has a fresh new rap anthem, “Tellin’ You Y
Every year seems to turn up some brand new rock or rap anthems dedicated to college football programs, and most of the time they are complete garbage. This one for BYU by artist James The Mormon (Yes, that is his stage name and I love it), titled Tellin’ You Y is pretty well done. At least the music video is pretty well done, featuring shots both inside and outside of scenic Lavel Edwards Stadium in Provo, with the rap artist sitting atop a goal post and serenading us with a backdrop of BYU football players, cheerleaders and fans. There are even a few guest appearances sprinkled in, like one from Ty Detmer.
Some good moves by the BYU mascot in there as well. There is no telling just how well this will be received by the BYU fanbase, but it should definitely make its way into the pregame stadium soundtrack, right? What really needs to be asked is if this video can still be sent to the Big 12 offices for consideration with BYU’s sales pitch to join the conference.

(AllHipHop News) This day and age rappers are coming from every direction representing a plethora of sub-genres in Hip-Hop.
Now Utah based rapper, Jamesthemormon is making waves as the most popular Mormon rapper ever, as today (April 28) the religious based rapper has now topped the iTunes charts at #1 on the Hip-Hop/Rap category.
On his chart-topping six-track EP I’m Not a Rapper, Jamesthemormon tackles issues that he faces being a Mormon in 2016.
Jamesthemorman’s rapid ascension to top, albeit unlikely pits James above rappers like Drake, Future, Kevin Gates and ASAP Ferg – for now.
With Drake’s Views project set to drop at midnight (April 29) this run could be a short one for the rapper, but its still worth noting the accomplishment.
The EP dropped on April 17th and is said to be a reflection of his beliefs in the Morman faith.
Similar to other rappers, Jamesthemormon has taken a liking to his local sports teams and features fans, coaches and players from local university BYU in the video for the “Motivation.”
Born James Curran, this 29-year-old Utah residing rapper grew up abroad in Russia, China and Uzbekistan according to KSL.com.
“I literally couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” Curran told KSL.com. . “So I’m here, and I’m in front of Drake, so that means I’m number 30 in the world. I called my friends for them to, like, verify that I’m not insane and they’re like, yeah, this is happening. They were all freaking out.”
Despite his Latter Day Saints background, Jamesthemormon says he wants people to feel unknowingly uplifted by his religious raps.
“I want the same vibe that people go to get a Drake album or Lil’ Wayne,” Curran added. “I want them to walk away uplifted without even realizing it.”
