Bio
"I was previously based in Brighton, England for 5 years. Where I learnt the ways of music and all has to bless me with, I have always loved music and how it makes me and other people feel. I started life as a professional Judo player, taking my career to world and European level. After a nasty injury it was time for me to hang up my kit for the first time in 20 years. I had a huge gap in my life which I didn't know how to fill. I had always played the piano as a youngster and always wanted to learn to play the guitar.
Then on Christmas Day 2001 I was bought my first axe a Washburn. I decided to put my energy that I had put into my fighting into my guitar. This is why I am here now. I feel this is was my calling...
The Gentle Way
Was my first album, which was a huge learning curve and a good insight in to how the music industry worked, I had a lot of fun in the making, but I feel now I have grown as a artist and as a individual. The gentle way means Judo translated into English. I needed to say thank you to my sport for what it gave me - discipline and respect. For life and other people.
Influences
My influences are Bob Dylan, Rolling stones, David Gray, Jack Johnson, Ryan Adams and the Stereophonics, As a child I was raised on Neil Diamond, Elton John, and most country music so I guess this is why I have my sound.
The Future
Im now based in Sydney Australia and currently recording my First Australian E.p called Rising which will be completed late march, I have just finished recording my first DVD recorded live at the world famous Vanguard in Sydney. With the appointment of my Manager Katarina Stuebe from Reveal music management, we will have a great year, planning lots more high profile gigs playing all across Australia, We are planning to Tour in Europe this coming July so im very excited about that one, good chance to see old friends and spend time with my family.
With a Monthly residency at the Excelsior every second Sunday of the month its always a great gig and a warm friendly vibe.
I will be playing at the Vanguard a lot more this year so please check the listings,
