Feeling a bit camera shy
Bio
I was born in Port Angeles WA in April of 1980. When music was taking another turn. I was influenced by Elvis Presley at the age of 4. I didn't know how to play any instruments yet but I knew I had a voice. I practiced all his songs I knew accapella; which is where I gained the talent of singing with emotion.
At the age of 16, I recieved my very first guitar. I couldn't put it down. Not even to eat dinner. I had to be pried with the jaws of life by my mother from my guitar.
I sang in every choir I had the time for. I even entertained my co-workers at Albertsons during our christmas party that year.
After dropping out of high school to work more hours, I eventually ended up joining the Army. I had a GED of course.
Anyway, I entertained my seargents during our company parties too. While in transition from the Army to civilian life, I played at an espresso stand in Hawaii where I was stationed. I made some tips here and there and free espresso.
Once I got home it was winter time and jobs were zero to none. So, I decided to put my P.A. to good use. I asked a new restaurant in town if I could run an open mic there. They listened to my demo and agreed! I ran that open mic successfully for exactly a year.
Now, I'm playing a few local solo gigs here and there while I work on forming a full band. I plan to have one formed by the end of this summer.
