JAMES GUILMARTIN(Flux)
Currently James Plays with his band consisting of Guitars, Drums, Clarinet, prayer bowls,various percussive instruments, viola, Bass and backing vocals. His music is very atmospheric, with catchy lyrics and soaring harmonies.
He has been a singer and songwriter for 10 years. He has worked with various musicans both in Dublin and abroad. Having played heavy rock, folk, trance, world, experimental electronica with different projects in the past, this experience, along with his vision, manifests a unique sound that one can only describe as "Alternative". His music has been compared to the likes of Tool, Jeff Buckley, Sigur Ross, The Velvet Underground amongst others.
With many successful live shows under his belt having supported Kila, Jools Holland, Damien Rice and the Republic Of Loose, James' music is growing stronger each time and his unpredictable live shows are always a fresh treat for the senses. Nobody leaves a gig without an impact being made on them.
