Lyrics

More Than Ever

Written By: James Irvine

Listen how he loves you. I think he loves you more than ever. Listen how he loves you. His words contain more than you think. Don't you let all of your fears flood in and get beneath your skin. You're moving backwards fast and often he wondered if, in fact, your sanity was intact. It happened that he forgot your anniversary but don’t get yourself upset - you think too materialistically. Do you have any real choice - when you hear such a desperate voice - but to forgive and forget how he let you down? He has since tried to make it up to you. Stop thinking, “This world is out to get me and I have no-one to protect me.” Why won’t you just stop and look at how he loves you? I think he loves you more than ever… Look at how he loves you. I think he loves you more than ever.

The Makings of a Winter Tragedy

Written By: James Irvine

A late December morning, children you're chilled to the bone once more.
And though I hate to say it, there will be more of the same in store.

'Cause I've already spent my money on you and the rent is already overdue,
And now all I can see is a recipe for the makings of a Winter tragedy.

Hardship maketh man and hunger has made many an English rose.
So grit your teeth and bear it children, just until the Winter's close.

'Cause I've already spent our money on sin - it's all my fault the mess we're in.
When will angels descend to put to an end a tragedy in the making?

Sometimes in my dreams she'll come back to us:
"Believe me darling, there'll be better days ahead - when you'll walk in the sun - with renewed peace of mind and your troubles far behind."

A late December morning, children you're chilled to the bone once more.
And though I hate to say it, there will be more of the same in store.

'Cause I've already spent my money on you and the rent is already overdue,
And now all I can see is a recipe for the makings of a Winter tragedy.
