Bio

James A. Perry, II
(Musician/Producer/Songwriter)

James A. Perry, II a native of North Carolina, has been a musician for 30 years and is by far one the music industrys most talented artists. As a young man he began playing gospel music but his passion for playing has allowed him to embrace many other styles of music including jazz, rock, R&B, country, and hip-hop. He is the CEO of In His Presence Recording Studios and Arthurs Quest Music Productions.

Although he can play many instruments, lead guitar is his main instrument. His extensive experience as a musician has afforded him the opportunity to travel the United States as well as abroad. Currently he is the music director for The Stanley Baird Group and he has toured in Japan, South Korea, Hawaii, Guam, the Marshall Isles, Spain, and Turkey. Whether being a member of the band or a sessionist he has accompanied many local and national artists, some are:
Yarborough and Company, Johnny Holloway and the Gospel Jubilees, Reggie Jeffries & Friends, Stanley Baird & the Stanley Baird Group, Daymond Callahan, Marvin Mumford, Durneice Pace, Pastor Shirley Ceasar, Candi Staton, Lou Rawls, Pattie LaBelle , Gladys Knight, Kirk Franklin, Luther Barnes, Albertina Walker, Angelo & Veronica, Rance Allen, Allison Williams, David Peaston, Cheryl Pepsi Riley, Parks Stewart & Mitchell Jones, Walt Whitman of the Soul Children of Chicago, Vicki Winans, Howard Hewitt, and The Persuaders. James has also had the opportunity to work with producers Stanley Brown and Evangelist Dorothy Norwood. In addition to playing for these artists he has played for the stage plays Lord Why Me?, Dont Let the Green Grass Fool You, Im Just A Country Boy, The Christmas Play, and was the music director for Lord, Why Am I Still Single? and Butterfly Wings. James has played for some of North Carolinas prominent leaders including Governor James Hunt, the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, and alumni of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, and Omega Psi Phi organizations.

James has been afforded the opportunity to produce and co-produce independent music projects in addition to playing guitar. These projects include: the soundtrack for the stage play Lord, Why Am I Still Single, So Real Yolanda Rabun, "Shauna LaShelle" - Shauna LaShelle single 'So Greatful'.

James definitely brings a unique style to the music/entertainment industry with the awesome gift that God has given him and the undeniable talent he has to play skillfully.
