James Kessee proudly served in the United States Army, and fought in Operations Iraqi Freedom. A combat veteran, Kessee is now devoting his time to making great music. Through his music, he tells a story that everyone can relate too. Kessee is a lover of all genres of music. He draws inspiration from artist such as Michael Jackson, Temptations, Joe, and Whitney Houston. James Kessee has the talent, drive, and passion needed to succeed in the music industry
IAA: What is your music background?
JAMES KESSEE: I come from a father who loved music. He was a singer/songwriter/musician/producer.
IAA: What inspired you to pursue music?
JAMES KESSEE: The “LOVE” of music.
IAA: What are your songs about? (themes)
JAMES KESSEE: Love, Romance, Life, and a splash of heart ache.
IAA: Do you write your own music?
JAMES KESSEE: I write all my lyrics. I have so much to say and so many stories to tell.
IAA: Who are your musical influences?
JAMES KESSEE: My father, James Clyde Kessee, who passed away in 2003. My brother Thor Williams, who passed away in 2006. The following artists: Joe, Donnell Jones, Marques Houston, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, Shaka Khan, Temptations, and Earth Wind and Fire. I love the old school music and the classics.
IAA: How would you describe your music to people?
JAMES KESSEE: Music that comes from the heart. Music that everyone can relate to. I write different songs for different situations.
IAA: What makes you stand out from other artist?
JAMES KESSEE: Everything is ORIGINAL!! Everything is heartfelt. I am telling a story. I am speaking from real life and real love. I don’t make songs about things I don’t have, but of situations that have occurred. I write about situations that everyone in one point in time have gone through or known someone that has gone through it.
IAA: What are some upcoming projects, you are currently working on
JAMES KESSEE: I have several shows booked. I am currently working on finishing my album. I’m focused on getting my name out there and letting people all around the world know who James Kessee is!
IAA: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
JAMES KESSEE: My career goals are to be a successful recording artist, and writer. Another career goal is to work with other artist in every genres. In 10 years I see myself known worldwide. I will be working with the biggest and upcoming names in the business.

I am a singer/song writter. I write my own material. The son of a Preacher, singer/songwritter/musician and a loving and supporting mother. Served proudly in the United States Army. A combat veteran. I have a Love of many things to include: Music, cars, video games, sports and many other things. Passionate about my work. A strong drive to always give my best no matter the outcome.
