My name is James McKenzie Kennedy. I love Ringo and Lennon, and I'm influenced by Zappa, Weird Al, Raffi, Disney, Sesame Street, Hendrix, Dylan, Miles Davis, et. al! My music has been called: Adult Children's Music ; Shamanic-Rock ; Innovative and ethereal ; Lovely!

Biography

A Mickey Mouse clarinet was the first instrument played by JMK. He quickly took to playing Saxophone in Junior High & High School. While playing in the best Jazz groups to be heard in the Flathead Valley, James quickly took to the Guitar as a primary instrument and studied a multitude of styles, from Metal to Classical, Jazz to Folk.
Further through James' music history, he studied music at the Lionel Hampton School of Music in Moscow, ID and later at the University of Oregon School of Music.
JMK now teaches and plays Muse-ic around Oregon, USA on this Globe, Earth!

I usually play 4 sets of 15-30 minutes and I will often adapt old songs to context or write songs specifically for individual performances.
