James McSheffrey is a singer/songwriter from Florida -- now based out of Nashville. Inspired at an early age by watching his mother sing in church, James grew up constantly exposed to and always listening and studying all types of music. At age 12, he started writing lyrics and at age 15, he started playing guitar. His taste in music as well as his own material knows no boundaries. James fuses together his own blend of rhythm and blues, soul, hip-hop, gospel, rock n roll and country music. In Summer 2010, he independently released his first single, "Thank God For This Guitar" to Country and Christian stations nationwide. The song has now made it's way to #14 on the Power Source Christian Country Top 100 Chart. James is continuing his songwriting and is currently working on his debut record which he plans to release later this year.
