There’s been a lot of great local artists cookin’ up some great music lately. Jameson Tank is a rock artist hailing from Gibson, Georgia who’s had a passion for guitar solos ever since he was a tween. While studying at the University of Georgia, Jameson began writing songs. After failing to find a singer to bring life to his music, Jameson decided to take matters into his own hands.
Today, Jameson released his first EP titled “Stay Awake.” The EP features six vastly different rock tracks that Jameson started recording back in December of 2018. In a world overly saturated with indie rock, it’s great to hear something that stands out. Jamesons’ lead single “Heavy Dependence” is probably my favorite song on the record, and if you want to get your feet wet, I suggest starting with that. Jameson Tank is a Singer,Songwriter,Guitarist from Augusta, Georgia. Jameson first learned how to play guitar at age 12 and quickly grew an obsession with music, becoming known as a guitarist who could handle blistering solos. Jameson is inspired by a wide array of artists such as Tom Petty, Van Halen, R.E.M, The Police, The Rolling Stones, Nickelback, Nirvana, Jason Aldean and Post Malone; They have all attributed to what Jameson's music has become. In 2016 Jameson moved to Athens, Ga to attend the University of Georgia. Soon after, he began writing songs with intentions of finding a singer to sing them. After struggling to find a singer to properly bring his words to life, Jameson realized that the only person who he wanted to hear sing his songs was himself. Jameson entered the studio in November 2018 to record his debut EP, which was released throughout 2019 to an overwhelmingly positive response.
