At the age of twenty-one, the musical talent that James Phoenix possesses are far beyond his years. Born into a family of singers from Houston, Silas LaToison a.k.a. James Phoenix was raised by both parents. In hopes of a better life, James enrolled at Texas Southern University and later discovered his passion for music. James Phoenix infusing contemporary R&B with Pop will be achieved by fans and critics.
James Phoenix is a master in storytelling and his vivid imagination and energy has allowed him to produce several of lyrics. Sir Thomas Beecham once said that, “great music is that which penetrates the ear with facility and leaves the memory with difficulty. Magical music never leaves the memory”. James Phoenix will release his debut album in the Spring of 2013, that will be infused with Pop and Contemporary R&B. Songs like Puzzle Piece, which is a beautiful track that shows his flexible vocal abilities. James Phoenix said, “I feel that Puzzle Piece is a great song, and it makes you feel good in your soul”. He can also be seen around Houston downtown area performing live in venues such as The Red Cat and Grooves.
James Phoenix is concentrating on taking his musical abilities to the next level by perfecting his skills as a live performer. He will continues to grace and challenge the music industry with his writing & vocal skills.
