Currently appearing in the new HBO series Flight of the Conchords, James is a former banking and finance lawyer who became one of Australia's best stand up comedians. The winner of Australian Star Quest, and the Australian Public Speaking Championship, he was selected to compete in the World Debating Championships at Princeton. After studying acting and with numerous TV appearances to his name, he worked as a writer and performer on TV and Radio in Australia. He then moved to New York where he has appeared on Comedy Central and was invited to perform on the New Faces showcase at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. The Age Melbourne said "Effortlessly makes you laugh" and The Daily Telegraph calls him "A winning joker." James lives in New York where he is a regular at all of the city clubs.
