James Spilsbury & The Sicilian Rail

Band biographies tend to be pretentious, and they're always written in third person, even though they're for the most part written by the band themselves, so I will fully admit that I am writing this.
I am James Spilsbury, and I have played in 3 bands over the years; Utopia Look-Alike, Cordilla, and Dorsia. These bands have seen minor success, most of all, Dorsia. However, these bands have all dissolved, and I am left with a vault full of songs that I have put lots of work into. Any songwriter values their work, and to see my work go into the back of my brain irks me. So, I started the Sicilian Rail Band, with Anthony Kubik on drums, and Tyler Bopp on keyboards and bass. I chose to go the solo route so that I don't ever have to abandon my work. It will always be with me. I don't have much credit to my name, besides the fact that a live show for me is just as important to me as strapping on cleats for a soccer game. I put my all in to it, and all I want is the chance to play for new audiences. My "frands" (Most of my fans become my friends, and vice versa). I'm not in music for the money, otherwise I'd have given up long ago. I like to be around like-minded individuals, who appreciate art. Straight up. I will never give up on music because it doesn't pay, because I get paid at my job, and I hate my job. Pay is nice but not necessary. My music is how I express every emotion that I've ever felt. I hide it through words, and am brutally honest with myself, and everyone around me, though it may not be interpreted as such. I don't care if people understand my music, just that they understand my love for it.
