Bio
After playing in a couple small bands for a few years, James made the decision in 2005 to follow the singer-songwriter path. Influenced by lyrical stories of Rodney Crowell, John Prine, Paul Thorn, Rivers Rutherford and others, he began to let the words and music fly. From the very first meeting in early 2005, he joined and became an active member of the Woodands Songwriters Association. Representing the group, he has performed at the Woodlands Riverway Arts Festival for the last two years, in addition to the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival. He later joined the Nashville Songwriters Association as one of the original members of the Houston North-Metro Chapter. Here he continues his education in the craft of songwriting. He has performed at the Dosey Doe Coffee House in the Woodlands as part of the singer-songwriter show following the N.S.A.I meetings. He is an avid fan of Texas Music and a member of the Houston Association of Acoustic Musicians (HAAM).
