James Wesley Hilsden and the Third Culture Kids - Debut full length - Scheduled for release in July 2007 on Men of Israel

Feeling a bit camera shy

Born in Toronto, Canada, James Wesley Hilsden moved to Jerusalem, Israel at the age of four. Instead of joining the army after High School like most of his Israeli friends, James went to study in both his native Canada and in his hometown Jerusalem, where he formed seminal Israeli punk band Man Alive. After recording four albums and two EP's with the band and over four years of relentless US, Canadian and European touring, James decided to do what he had been dreaming of for years - he recorded a country album. Well, it's not all country, but the years of touring the United States definately rubbed off on the Canadian Israeli. Tracked in Strassburg, France by close friend and co-producer Cristian Perez (who years earlier introduced James to one of his biggest influences, Allison Krauss), the album is a collection of twelve songs written over the past few years of touring and the semi-employed homestays between tours. Originally written and recorded as something to do while not with the band, in light of people's overwhelming response to the songs this new expression of James Wesley Hilsden's creativity is slowly becoming the driving force of his career.
