Jamie Barnhill

Jamie Barnhill

Acoustic driven, sometimes rock, sometimes not. Little bit of everything, for everyone. James Taylor meets Hendrix meets Moby.

Jamie Barnhill is a native of Charleston SC. Grown up in a religious house hould, with bluegrass/country loving grandparents, the first instrument he picked up was of course a guitar at age 11. He began playing in church and local "Picking Parlors", for the next couple years. High school brought on new music and new experiences. With new, yet strong influences such as Credence Clearwater Revival, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, James Taylor, and the likes of classis artists, and the modern day influences of artists like Edwin McCain, John Mayer, Eric Johnson, etc.; Jamie began penning his first songs at the age of sixteen. After high school, he began playing in local bars around the Charleston area, and then spread the the tri-state area. At 23 years old, he is still writing and playing constant new tunes, and has his eyes set now on the entire southern scene. And what a scene it is.
