Jamie Chan-Ortega, PhD, LAc, is a published author, health and wellness consultant, and the owner of Oasis Healing Arts, a natural healthcare center in Los Angeles. As an acupuncturist in private practice yet fully integrated into the healthcare networks of Southern California, Dr. Jamie is able to offer holistic healthcare and psychosocial counsel within a nation-wide system that all too often focuses just on the body in parts; a system that gravely overlooks how a stressed and overwhelmed mind, a burdened heart, or a broken spirit can contribute to a multitude of physical ailments and diseases.
Originally from Hawai'i, now a mother of two young boys - Nahoa Life and Keoni Peace - and a dedicated wife, Dr. Jamie holds degrees and licenses in the Natural Health Sciences, Acupuncture and Traditional Eastern Medicine, Massage Therapy, and SportYoga. She is passionate about seeing people reach their highest potential. Her gift is communicating the importance of good health in such a way that is tender, inspiring and motivating. Sessions with Dr. Jamie leave clients filled with a new-found desire to live healthier, more fruitful lives, and well-equipped with the knowledge and tools to achieve that most worthy of goals.
Whether one knows Dr. Jamie as a private client, a reader, or a participant in a workshop or lecture, it is readily apparent that Jamie has the heart of a counselor, the mind of a scientist, the words of a poet, and the conviction of a activist. "Natural, Scientific, Personal Healthcare" is more than just her business' tagline - it's Dr. Jamie's calling, her way of life, and she is simply incredible at it.
