Bio

Jamie is a little bit country, a little bit of rock and roll. An eclectic mix of folk, alternative pop, or post modern fusion (LOL)!! Her rock band Pugh Street, or Mother Goose, or Andalusia depending on the day and the mood, started at Penn State University in the clubs there like the Scorpion and the Phyrst
Some of her inspirations have been Kathy Mattea, Joan Baez, Janis Jopllin, Tanya Tucker, Judy Garland, Linda Ronstadt, K.T. Oslin, Stevie Nicks, Reba, Trisha Yearwood to name a few as there are many. Jamie believes in making a song her own style.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa, this fresh singer of countryish songs hasn't always been country. Over a ten year period she sang with mostly rock and roll bands. Having a dramatic flair to her personality often times Jamie got cast in musicals and so drama became another passion of hers. Later she atteneded HB drama school in New York City with a music interpretation class that included Bette Midler and Barry Manilow.
Jamie say her two favorite influences are her children Todd who is in Medical School at New York University and Jessi who is in public health at George Washington University updates to follow.
Her recording career began with the release of her song Love At A Distance by Stargems which used to exist where Curb Records currently resides at 43 Music Square East. With a full out radio promotion headed by her still family of music friends Gary Bradshaw and James Williams the song became a Number 1 Independent song on CashBox, Indie Tracker, and a few other Indie related charts. This brought Jamie to Nashville and that started her true love affair with country music that continues to today.
Jamie is a staunch supporter and a twenty year coordinator of the Nashville Songwriter's Association International. Each year Jamie gives a scholarship or two to Tin Pan South to an up and coming singer songwriter aspiring to break into the music business.
Staying focused and holding onto your dreams are a reaccuring theme in Jamie's songs and conversation.
Her favorite phrase is a quote by Kermit the Frog
"Life is a movie, write your own ending."
