Lyrics

Leavin' Town

Written By: Jamie MacSwain

Met up with an old friend out last night
Crashed around the town
It looked glamorous in streetlight
Danced with every girl who fell my way
Don’t feel quite as charming today

Through this broken window glass I see
Dirty streets and empty storefront windows
That surround me
Feel about as empty in my soul
Only thing that’s left to do is go

Leavin’ town this very minute
I’m leavin’ town there’s nothin’ in it
But a memory of myself that I’d rather forget
What I recall of last night seems like
A little too much a little too much
Packin up and leavin' town

Friend you know he’s always been the same
Likes to be where everybody knows
Each others' names
Admit sometimes its been that way for me
More and more I crave my anonymity

Chorus

What I recall of last night seems like
A memory of a memory of
Packin up and leavin' town

Leavin' town leavin' town
it's just a memory now
Leavin' town

The Way I Feel

Written By: Jamie MacSwain

Find myself in a bit of a mood don’t know why
Thought I was in a bit of groove doing fine
Time pressure bearing down to do
Something more with my life
Might do that can’t get past the way I feel tonite

Me and my old friend we were gonna hook up
She took off back to the city stood me up
She sent me a poem in an email made it all alright
Sent one back can’t get past the way I feel tonite

These moods are temporary so it’s said
I’d like to rent space in a vacant place
In someone else’s head

Wish you were here tonite keepin’ me warm
Without judgement without blame in any shape or form
Guess I need to love myself just as I am
Might do that can’t get past the way I feel tonite
Might do that can’t get past the way I feel tonite

These moods are temporary so it’s said
I’d like to rent space in a vacant place
In someone else’s head

Find myself in a bit of a mood don’t know why
Funny how the bottoms drops
When you think your doing fine
Guess I need to love myself just as I am
Won’t look back when I get past the way I feel tonite
Won’t look back when I get past the way I feel tonite

The way I feel as I am
The way I feel as I am
