NRJ Radio Award & Rockbjornen nominated Jamie Meyer is Swedish, born in Gothenburg, he is young and loves rock, updated with a modern edge of pop-choirs, with strong refrains. Jamies way to the top in Sweden is a media fairytale. He started out playing and writing songs at the age of 17 and by the time he turned 18 he dropped his future soccer career for music and started seriously playing, writing and recording his first demos.
At a very early age he released his debut record "Its All About Me" 2003 (Sony Music) and after massive sales, national tours, award nominations, and extreme media-coverage, Jamie and Sony Music got interested in exploring different markets. Jamie appreciates his now former A&R Leif Kack, Philip Adamo and all the other people at Sony working hard for him with his career. He also personally would like to thank Bryan Adams, Phil Thornalley and Jorgen Elofsson for their great creative input and Co writing on Jamie's debut album!
In 2004-2005 He toured extensively, receiving wide air play and performing in studios. These days Jamie goes to New York, Austin TX and London to meet the American and U.K record business, to find a partner enthusiastic about Jamies sound and his visions. Song writer/producer Phil Thornalley (Bryan Adams, The Cure, Savage Garden, Natalie Imbruglia, Ronan Keating, etc) recently invited Jamie to London to start working on some new tracks for future projects. Jamie has been a longtime fan of Phil Thornalley and to finally meet and start working with this successful songwriter means more than ever to Jamie!
Its not easy to put a label on Jamies sound; its poppy, still rockish, yet very modern hit-based. Jamie has always been writing his own music and has great charisma, a fantastic star waiting to be discovered.
Jamie has always had big dreams and looks up to any artists like; "Mutt" Lange, Def Leppard, Queen, AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Oasis, Frank Sinatra, Bon Jovi, The Goo Goo Dolls, Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, Vertical Horizon, Jackson Browne, Richard Marx & many more.
