Today, I had the chance to get to know an impressive, up and coming pop/country superstate, Mr. Jamie Meyer. Jamie was a guest on "The Jimmy Star Show, on W4CY radio and to say he blew me away would be an understatement!

Born in Gothenburg, Sweden on August 31, 1980 Jamie first gain national attention when he appeared on the Swedish television show Popstars. His rendition of Bill Withers "Ain't No Sunshine" was the audiences favorite and It was that performance that set the music world on notice that Jamie Meyer was the real deal!
On October 7, 2010 Terry Miller form The Pasadena Independent, had a chance to see Jamie preform at the Novel Café in East Pasadena. Following that show Terry wrote " Meyer’s vocal range is superb and spot on. The few songs he played off his 2008 CD, ("Great Big Chance") were testament to his strong vocal ability and propensity for great hooks. The commercial appeal of Meyer is not superficial – the music gets down into your bones" (pasadenaindependent.com). His latest CD titled "Good Night To Be Young" is every bit as impressive as his others. But what I find even more impressive than Jamie's music is his values! At one point during today's Jimmy Star Show, one of the shows co-host, Dr. Drew Albright read an email question form one of Jamie's fans. The fan had written the show and asked to know, "now that Jamie is a big Star, what does he value the most"? Without hesitation Jamie replied, FAMILY! Jamie went on to say that "when ever I gets the chance the thing I most like to do is to visit Sweden to just be around my family". Here is a young, talented artist who has figured it out!!! There are something is life that are more important than fame and fortune and Jamie clearly understand that! If it's true that good things happen to good people, then Jamie can expect so really great things in his future!
