Local rap artist Jamori Rashawn has been rapping since the tender age of 7. Hailing from Charlotte North Carolina (where he was born and raised), he has developed a different style and flow to present to the rap game. His love and passion for rap, and even music as a whole derived from riding around in the car with his mom listening to a lot of different artists. These artists range from The Isley Brothers to The Notorious B.I.G, from Jay-Z to Erykah Badu and etc. He obtained his skills from his father, who was a popular local rapper back in the 90's. As a kid, his dad would take him to his friend's home studio and watch them record demo's. Since then, becoming a big rap star has always been his dream. Like father, like son I suppose. Rapping was also a way for him to escape his everyday troubles, writing everything he had on his mind down on paper. With him being an unsigned artist, he plans to remain independent and further establish his brand/catalog. Jamori wants to be his own artist, be creative and just make good music for the people to listen to. Through each body of work, he strives to bring the essence back to the rap game.
