One of the freshest, most innovative bands we’ve been lucky enough to have in this year’s festival, Jamsons Nook gave an excellent performance!
An exciting direction that mixes elements of Latin, Funk, Hip-Hop and Folk for a satisfying, often inspiring whole.
Their Barfly performance showed they are undoubtedly a band with enormous potential and hopefully they’ll continue onwards and upwards.

Another dazzling performance from genre blenders Jamsons Nook saw them through to the Regional Showcase. An eclectic, energetic sound that’s wholly
intimate, it nevertheless lent itself well to the larger Med Bar stage. They’ve got some unique, well-crafted songs with beautiful melodies and funky
rhythms that are catchy-as-hell yet have some real depth. A tight, relaxed performance they were a joy to watch; a band with real talent and potential.

Bio
Jamsons Nook formed in 2003 with Kaz and Ben joining musical hearts and minds to play songs that would warm their bones. The sound has evolved into a vibrant, energetic style with funk and world music grooves laced with scratching, and sampling. The band have played all over the UK, and Ben has also performed in New Zealand. There are no other bands that we know of that combine this collection of instruments and styles in this way, and no others that have quite the same amount of drive and determination to get out there and be heard!
