A masterpiece!

I remember how i first came to cdbaby, looking for a Jude Record i could not find anywhere else. As i'm always searching for "good music", i browsed many times through cdbaby and listened to many THOUSANDS of artists / LP's. Music is NOT one of those things we can call science. It's more than a personal matter of taste. But let's face it... some (too many) artists just DON'T have the guts and feeling to create something sublime. It's all have been done before. We sometimes tend to listen to what we are given (well "managed" musicians!) and fail to seek through this big Big world for new talented artists. Jana's BAREFOOT is what i call a "masterpiece". Why? You ask. Because it's perfect! It might not be perfect for everyone, because we all respond differently to music, but in terms of creation, it IS perfect. Jana writes about emotions, feelings. DEEP feelings, and the music of her songs is a Reflection of those feelings. She can use her voice (sweet!) and her lovely ACCENT (just LOVE it!) is just as creamy as a well done Capuccino! The "master" of the "piece" :-) comes when you realize the attention she gave to the arrangements. While some are Piano and voice, others are acoustic / electric guitar, bass & drums driven. The use of the Cello completes some tunes with a touch that can only be defined by listening to them. The playing performance is REMARKABLE, with amazing technique and UN-boring chords. This is the kind of LP that can only be wrote with enough TIME and with NO pressures. And by time i mean MANY ,MANY years of life behind... Barefoot is a ONE LIFETIME achievement. BEAR THIS IN MIND, Jana, when you consider (because you will!) selling your SOUL to the record companies. DO not make this mistake. TAKE your time! MANY years if you need to, until you feel ready to create another LP, maybe even better than Barefoot. (I cannot resist and tell u that, in my point of view, Damien Rice committed a Crime... well, 9 to be exactly...). Meanwhile, you can make a Special Edition of this one! Bio
I'm a 28-year-old singer-songwriter from Switzerland. I've been playing and singing for ten years, playing gigs in Switzerland. My passion and time are dedicated to writing songs in the folk and reggae genre. My first Solo-CD "BAREFOOT" was recorded in January 2006 with a live band and was a low budget production. A friend of mine from Sao Paolo joined us with his brazilian violin, called "Rabecca", which made the songs with the band really intense. In February 2010 I recorded a new album with the Reggae-Ska-Band Kalles Kaviar. Soon I want to record a new EP with my folksongs. My music is available on iTunes and GreatIndie.
