Bio
For over 7 years he used to be the singer, bassist and songwriter of a band that toured North Germany with its dark, melodic Grunge-Rock. Having moved to Berlin and being taken in by the city's influences, Jan found his passion in electronic music. He made the tough decision to leave the band and traded his guitar for an apc40 and 5x8Spur-Matrix and began to produce and perform as a solo artist.
His sound has been described as a mixture of Radiohead, Muse, Bodi Bill, Stephan Bodzin and James Holden. His beautiful balancing act between melancholic and yet melodic Electro-Pop which intertwines with euphoric Minimal Techno makes Jan one of the most interesting and promising young artists in Berlin at the moment. In the past Year Jan Blomqvist performed his Live Sets across the world, over 80 Gigs, especially in Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Russia and New York.
