Bio
Janelle Loes is an emerging singer/songwriter who knows how to spin a song and mesmerize an audience. Fusing elements of jazz, pop, and adult contemporary music, her style is both catchy and soothing while her voice is a deep sea serenade through rich, expressive waters.
An accomplished fingerstyle guitarist, pianist, and violinist, Janelle’s songs are crafted orchestrations, driven by honest lyrics and a maturity that reaches far beyond her eighteen years. Poetic, bold, and convincing, her songs seek definition from life as they carve their own path, make their own rules, and yearn for face to face relationships in a technological world.
From hosting weekly open mic nights at Arizona coffeehouses to performing in front of thousands at the 2009 Anthem Tree lighting Ceremony, Janelle’s listeners are continually drawn in by her remarkable talent as both a songwriter and a performer. She was the winner of Chicks with Picks 2010 Songwriting Competition, a finalist in the 2011 Alice Cooper Proof is in the Pudding Competition, and a 2012 Rocky Mountain Music Festival honorable mention. Her song “Thinking Too Much” was aired in Poland’s television series, Julia.
Janelle's debut album Here and Now is available through amazon, itunes, CDbaby, and as a live stream through Pandora. She currently resides in Flagstaff, Arizona where she is busy booking shows and writing songs for her next recording.
