Jane is the solo project of NYC-based artist Jane Watson. A singer-songwriter and producer, Jane creates rich sonic worlds from her bedroom. Jane is carving out her own place in a growing genre by adding a political twist to Bedroom Pop.
Though she has been writing since she was young, Jane began producing her own work in 2019. Jane’s sound is particularly indebted to fellow female musicians, like Joni Mitchell, Janelle Monáe, and Grimes who she defines as "powerful women making the music we need." Jane’s music features eclectic influences, from The Beatles to BROCKHAMPTON. Her unique style combines satisfying pop aspects with genre-defying twists that leave listeners wanting more.
As much as Jane loves social justice, she loves to dance even more. Fans have called her performances "electric," "intoxicating," and "downright insane." These days, there are few musicians who can do it all. Jane is one of them. To date, she has written, produced, and independently released five singles, with "BIRTH CONTROL" and “boys 2 MEN” receiving particular critical acclaim by fans.
Her latest release "Though It Should" is out everywhere now.
