Bio
Jan van de Engel is pseudonym for Greek drummer Giannis Angelopoulos. Misspent is his solo project. The name (Jan van
) is a playful translation from Greek to Dutch of his name.
He graduated from Rotterdams Conservatorium, Jazz & World music department in 2002. He lives in Athens, working as a session drummer and participating in all kinds of projects.
Along with Parasevas Kitsos, Christos Passalis and Tasos Bakasietas they are playing in clubs, stages of Athens and big cities in Greece, promoting Misspent.
