Ja’Quan is a new R&B soul singer who was born October 2, 1986, the youngest of five children in Austin, Texas. He grew up singing Gospel and been playing instruments for churches for the past 10 years.
A while back when he was a small child, he begged his father for a piano. At that time, his father was diagnosed with cancer. Ja’Quans father wanted a promise from him stating that if he continued to play for the rest of his life, he would miss a whole month of medicine to buy him a keyboard. Ja’Quans promise is still in the works and he have been writing songs and playing the keyboard continuously.
Because of Ja’Quans roots in the church, he was able to go on tour with Shirley Ceasar in the past. He listens to a lot of different genres of music including a few artists like Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Clark Sisters, Michael Jackson and several others.
Ja’Quan began performing in different venues such as the Travis County Exposition Center and the yearly Juneteenth celebration in Austin. He has also had the opportunity to travel to cities such as New York and California to perform on a variety of shows.Also has open up for carl thomas.
Ja’Quan is currently available for record deals. He is a definite soul singer that would like to get the opportunity to emerge in this decade of the music world.
