Jardsoul

Jardsoul

BandRockAlternative

A high energy rock and roll band that puts on a great show and knows that this is all about entertainment. Influences range from early 90's rock to 70's rock with a great melodic sense and catchy hooks.

Biography

Jardsoul got it's origins from guitarist James Gillespie and bassist Rob Cornetto who played together in the Long Island band Couch. Building on their love of music and the chemistry between them, they decided to branch off together and begin a new band. Wanting to play stripped down rock and roll with a progressive mindset, they set out finding a complimentary
drummer and singer. After finding a drummer and trying many different singers, they were introduced to Keoni through a mutual friend. A veteran
singer and guitarist of cover bands and various original bands James knew Keoni was the perfect fit right away. He came in and in a matter of weeks finished 4 songs that James and Rob had written which became the first songs for Jardsoul. From this they started playing out and recording, later adding Spencer Peller on drums. Jardsoul has played in various venues in Long
Island as well as CBGB's, Don Hill's, Arlene's Grocery, Snitch and The Acme Underground in New York City.
Their first full length album is currently available on iTunes titled "Release Me."
Currently, James has departed to work on his own projects while Keoni, Rob, and Spencer are continuing on as Jardsoul writing new material and soon to be gigging out again.

Shine

Shine

You trap me in, in my place
All that’s left is a bitter taste
Of what you’ve brought us too

I’m rife with anger caused by you
Your attempts came up too few
You don’t even have a clue

The lamb it waits by the pyre
Giving in to your desire
Anything for you

I look to the left, I look to the right
Clear
I’m free from you I’m alive
No more crawling, sacrifice
In spite of you I’ll

Every step I take from you
It’s like I’m jumping off the moon
Finally free to run

No more cracks in my soul
All the pictures that I’ve sold
Once more I am the sun

I look at you now, It’s all past
Feelings that I thought would last

I look to the left, I look to the right
Clear
I’m free from you I’m alive
No more crawling, sacrifice
In spite of you I’ll shine

Idiot Crown

Written By: Keoni

Open your cage
Let me on display
Policies begin
The greed that flows within
Pressure from the one
Who lifts the tender thumb
I won’t take the bait
And satisfy your fate

And it feels so good when you’re falling down
All alone on top with your Idiot Crown
Wipe the crowd away and your left with the sound
All alone on top with your Idiot Crown

Again you see the fall
Denying what you saw
Ties inside the truth
To what you couldn’t prove
Your cracks on stupid fame
To amplify your name

And it feels so good when you’re falling down
All alone on top with your Idiot Crown
Wipe the crowd away and your left with the sound
All alone on top with your Idiot Crown

You want it, you got it
Greed behind the lies
You want it, you got it
Never question why
Cause there’s no reason to get burned
When the table I’m on has been turned

And it feels so good when you’re falling down
All alone on top with your Idiot Crown
Wipe the crowd away and your left with the sound
All alone on top with your Idiot Crown

Love and Mercy

Written By: Keoni

I hear your voice through the print
It buzzes in my ear
You know you always liked that
I pick you up
You just complain
You don’t understand my pain
And your laughing in my face again
The color grey you create
As you throw away my plate
Never knowing if you’re coming or going

Don’t talk to me of Love and Mercy
With your bitterness all up for sale
Don’t save me with your blind ambition
Love and Mercy fail

Memories you destroyed
Am I still your little toy
The one you used and
Threw out
So why’d you call
No it’s not fair
You know I can’t be there
When you opened up the cage that holds me

Don’t talk to me of Love and Mercy
With your bitterness all up for sale
Don’t save me with your blind ambition
Love and Mercy fail

Can't Catch Yesterday

Written By: Keoni

Crawling back into my head again
Trying desperately to wake from the dead
Turn around now and reach for you
Your never there, I'm never through

And I wonder where you've been
How I let you get away
And I try to let you in
But I can't catch yesterday

Look ahead and wonder why
Imagine times I could have tried
To find that place where we, we all go
To lift the walls and fill the holes

And I wonder where you've been
How I let you get away
And I try to let you in
But I can't catch yesterday

Feeling lost what can I do
What did I get myself into
Under my skin I feel you there
Replace your face with thoughts I bear
I'm closer now than I've ever been
It feels like it's time to break on in
But if I'm wrong, how far will I fall
And will I be able to climb that wall

And I wonder where you've been
How I let you get away
And I try to let you in
But I can't catch yesterday

Time

Written By: Keoni

You say you found my hands
Inside your head again
But I remember the crumbs you threw at my feet
The water falls and I remember time again
When you would always say our love you would keep

Ain’t nothing but words you say
And the words you say mean nothing
Drop a line here to compromise
The credit you are keeping

I wish I could crawl inside
And muck with your workings
The Devil called my anger up to this
You hide inside your castle to protect your feelings
But girl my hate will grow inside you with this kiss

Ain’t nothing but words you say
And the words you say mean nothing
Drop a line here to compromise
The credit you are keeping

What’d you say…is it true?
