When asked to describe what sets me apart from the other thousands of singer-songwriters in the world (let alone Nashville), I don't know the best way to give such an answer. I write from experiences in my life. Nothing I write is ever faked or from another perspective other than my own. In that sense, I don't write specifically with a demographic or style in mind, I just write what my heart tells me to write. If that sounds conceited or pompous, I figure it is better than stating something ridiculous like "I've been called the songbird of my generation".
