Bio

As a songwriter, Jared Young combines his ear for fresh melodies with a poet’s hand for inventive lyric writing. His live shows are fun and energetic, and his genuine emotional involvement in his performances draws his listeners into the experience with him. Young’s heartland songs, packed with country rock hooks and American sentiments, are delivered with enthusiasm and sincerity.

After spending three years songwriting in Nashville, Jared now lives in Los Angeles and has garnered a steady following through live shows and the internet. Jared’s highlights from recent performances include a 12-date tour in the UK with appearances in London, Newcastle, Sunderland, Tyne, as well as Amity Fletcher’s famous “Big Secret” night and the “CORE Industry Showcase” in the heart of Leicester Square.

In North America, Jared’s Montreal fan club prepared the setlist for a great show at “The Vault” when Jared toured Quebec, and big crowds came out for the Harper County 4th of July Festival in Harper, Kansas and the Riverwalk Ampitheater show in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jared also performed at the Temecula Valley Song and Film Festival, and the “First Friday’s Festival” in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As Jared's popularity grows, so does his fan base. Jared Young Street Teams have been formed in over seven US states and two cities in Quebec, CA (Montreal and Jonquierre).

Jared's music can be heard in a number of independent films including Life, Death, and Mini- Golf; Gone But Not Forgotten; and Speed Trap. Most recently, Jared's song, "Push" was placed in Four Winds Pictures' short feature, Animus Road.

Brian Lush, of RockWired.com says, "[Young's new album is] is a gritty collection of earnest and heartfelt rockers. Yes, Young is a troubadour with his heart on his sleeve and a wide yet modest grin."

CD Baby raves, “Welcome back, middle America, you have a new champion. Jared Young takes acoustic rock to a new level with his Stickman Music debut So Many Miles. For everyone that misses the honesty and hooks of Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen - listen up.”
