After Tom Schraeder, Jarrett Killen took the stage and even had a little intermission in his set where his friend Lex Land played a couple of her songs. If you have never heard of Jarrett Killen then you have been hiding under a rock. He is an indie singer/songwriter with a little bit of emo and bluegrass thrown into the mix. He has such a unique voice that could never forget him. A southern California native and current Austin, Texas resident, singer/songwriter Jarrett Killen is now breaking out on his own after brief but successful stints with So. Cal. bands Narwhal and Vast Atlantic. With his newest album, Paper Anchors, ready for release on Township Records, Killen is preparing to depart on a comprehensive North American tour to blast the faces of every man, woman and child he comes across.
Fans and reviewers often compare Killen's music to artists like Jeff Buckley, Elliot Smith and Ray LaMontagne.
