Who Wants To Get To Know A SEXPOT SHAWTY!!!???
Whats good, Junkies? I know I haven't done a blog in a few weeks, but I'm back now, and brought back something HOTT!!! I'm super excited about this interview I did in Atlanta! And I want you all to be too!

I want to let him introduce himself, but I know you all will really enjoy this interview! Plus at the end of the interview, I will post a teaser of the upcoming video... Babe? Come on and introduce yourself to the people...!

*MY EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH JARROD!!!!*

For all the people out there reading this, tell me EXACTLY what name you want on everyones lips? What everyone should know you as...?- " What UP!!??? And of course, Jarrod!"

Where are you from? Are you from GA, and if so, exactly where?- " I was born and raised in an Atlanta suburb Lithonia, Ga (Eastside) thats about 18 minutes outside the city"

Describe your music for me? How would you describe it to those who are just getting to know you?- "Its New, Fresh, Rock, Pop, RnB, Summertime, Wintertime, Fall, its Music! Lol i like to call it Urban Alternative! a fusion that is unique and energetic"

Who or what are some of your influences in music? Like who did you listen to when you were growing up?- "There were alot of artists I listened to growing up! I would listen to anything from No Doubt to 112, Aerosmith, SWV, Mariah Carey, En Vogue, Outkast,.. Lenny Kravitz, Destiny's Child , Justin Timberlake, T.I.P .. I also got alot of my inspiration to create fantasy worlds by all the Disney soundtracks I listened to growing up!"

When in your life did you know that music was what you wanted to pursue as a career?- " From JUMP! Growing up, I use to blast my parents surround sound with recorded VMA performances as well as Music Videos and learn and rehearse all these routines and create my own headlining concerts! lololol sometimes I would do Outfit changes! LOL so therefore I always knew!"

When did you write your first song, and do you remember what it was?- " I wrote my first song when I was 17 (full song); it was called "WHY"...lol so generic.. it was about a girl leaving me at the end I would belt out "Cause True love is leaving MEEE!" Lol but it was the dopest experience!! I recorded the song myself on my Moms Sound recorder on the desktop!"

What kind of people do you surround yourself with?- "I am always surrounded by creative and talented people.. I have alot of friends with ALOT of UNIQUE talents... I'll just say that! But sometimes there is too much Ego in the air! LOL!"

If you had to describe your music in three or four words, how would you?- " ECLECTIC, FUN, EDGE, and SEX" ~ Oh, shit, Jarrod! LOL! VERY expressive words, huh? LOL!

How would you describe your style (fashion)?- "Imma "simplicity is key" type dude.. Since my music is so energetic and so am I as a person, my fashion is the exact opposite.. I am all about a simple shirt and a DOPE neck piece and a fly shoe.. the JEANS or PANTS must fit perfectly!"

Do you have any favorite designers, and what do you wear the most of?- " I actually do have some favorite designers.. Kenneth Cole is extremely dope to me! I have always rocked with Ben Sherman since I was younger.. I'm from the suburbs, so I have always been a Ralph Lauren fan.. but honestly I'm a Thrift Store kinda guy.. but my jewelry always has to make a statement.." I feel you on the 'burbs, and the jewels babe!

What do you think your "big break" has been so far in your music career?- " My whole journey has felt like a big break, but when I inked Shawnna and Bohagon on my first single "SEXPOT" I felt lifted onto a platform only because they are such huge veterans in the game. They know the streets and the ins and outs so I feel protected in a sense. But I look at any opportunity as a "big break" at the end of the night!" I know that's humbling...

Who are some of the artists you have worked with so far? and who would you LIKE to work with in the future?- " I am working with up and coming Artists that have started a movement (Bob Swaggit, Fred Marshall , TendaBerry ( Indie Band) Bliss, JSOUL (Producer) ) I'm really looking forward to the future... would love to get into the studio with The Neptunes, Kanye West and the whole G.O.O.D music camp, Mark Ronson, Lenny Kravitz, Destinys Child, Bangledesh, so many people!"

Hailing from the East Side suburbs of ATL, JARROD brings to us a sound that is truly unlike any other. Inspired by fellow ATLiens 112, as well as legendary rocker Lenny Kravitz, he has an urban-alternative sound that proves true to its roots while maintaining a completely original, uplifting, and most importantly, upbeat sound as an up-and-comer in the game. When I talked to him (via phone), he explained to me how his music was also heavily influenced by pop music from the 90's and even rock and roll, and that his wide variety of musical taste is evident in his own creations (I would tend to agree).Don’t let it fool you though; up-and-coming by no means implies that he is a newcomer to music; instead, that the time taken to hone his craft (grinding hard since ’03) is finally paying off. Speaking of hard work paying off, he recently created the jingle for a local radio station in Atlanta and even better, his song was the designated intro for the city’s WNBA team, the Atlanta Dream. His most recent album, Confessions of a Party Animal, which can be purchased HERE on iTunes, is a statement in itself. It explains the thought process inherent with an often-enebriated, adrenaline-driven life that much of our viewership can probably relate to. Most importantly, the tracks on the album all “bump”, which JARROD says is “essential” in reguards to his music. On another note, JARROD is in the process of making a track with another CheckThisTrack featured artist, Bob Swaggit, which will surely be dope. His next album should be one to look forward to, as should his career; with a sound this unique the sky is only the limits for this dude. "Sneak Peek: Jarrod"

We got the chance to have an exclusive sneak peak to Mullet emp’s JARROD visual for his first video for the single “SEXPOT” ft. Shawnna and Bohagon. Already heating up the airwaves and gaining more spins each week, Jarrod finally decided to stop playing with our emotions and drop a video to accompany the single. Although I got there for the last scene of the day (rooftop party), you can definitely see elements that will be going into the video. The energy was INSANE, and I can’t wait to see the finished product. You can get more information about Jarrod, MULLET emp, and also pick up Jarrod’s first album Confessions of a Party Animal on the official site HERE.

Bio

A new artist from Atlanta is on the forefront of a musical revolution that will forever change the landscape of the “Dirty South.” Jarrod Young, or simply JARROD, is the 25-year-old phenomenon that has a musical palate that is as eclectic as his style. The self-proclaimed “trust fund baby that doesn’t give a fuck” has been delighting audiences across the country since he made his debut at the age of 19.

The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical and creative influence. As the rebel in a family of doctors and lawyers, it was evident that JARROD marched to the beat of his own drum from the time he took his first steps. His family encouraged his wild child nature and individuality. Even while tucked away at North Carolina A&T, JARROD knew that music was his true calling. After performing in local shows, his buzz began to grow and JARROD decided to totally devote himself to his music.

JARROD is keen on pointing out that everything he listens to directs his musical development in some way. He counts N.E.R.D., Kid Rock, Destiny’s Child and Lil’ Jon as some of his biggest influences. The songs on his first album, “Confessions of a Parti Animal”, are a combination of electrifying guitar playing and rhythmic vocals. It’s a non-stop parti anthem punctuated throughout with elements of reggae, hip-hop, punk, rock, pop and R&B.

JARROD has opened for Wale, The Clipse, and the Grammy Winning R&B group, Boys II Men. He has been featured on multiple albums and recorded the team roster song for the WNBA Atlanta Dream.

His schedule is increasing relentlessly, and he is finding himself more in demand than ever in venues and festivals across the country. Music lovers everywhere are building an appreciation for his sound and talent, and he is steadily growing a loyal army of fans wherever he goes.

JARROD will release his anticipated follow up to “Confessions Of A Parti Animal” in January 2012. With the album expected to be a success and fame imminent, the exciting, innovative sound that he has made his own is certain to propel him to a mainstream audience.
