Singing since she exited her mother's womb is where it all began... Ja'Shayla has been singing and performing since she discovered those powerful vocal chords of hers. Always boisterous and lively, she remains the cente r of attention and has always embodied a talented and dedicated superstar. Ja'Shayla's aunt has been the most influential family member who pushed her to develop her raw talent into the passionate vocalist and performer that she's become today. Performing and singing is simply what she does! When the music starts playing, she quickly personifies the rhythm with her body and challenges the melody with her sweet vocals. This can only mean that she truly loves what she does and she believes that the only way to get better at the things you enjoy is practice. She is what the music world is missing!

Ja'Shayla has performed with Anthony Hamilton at the Fox Theatre in Detroit and at the Apollo for P. Diddy. She was a regular performer for Penn State sporting events and fundraisers. She's reached audiences in various talent shows in the U.S., the Miss Teen Ohio Pageant, Miss Black Penn State Pageant, and Miss Latina Penn State Pageant just to name a few. Now, as Ja'Shayla records her upcoming album, expect to see her performing at venues in the NYC area and beyond.

I am beyond thrilled to be sharing with you the story and the captivating sound of Ja’Shayla; a singer with a vocal presence so mesmerizing, that you would want to keep her tracks on constant replay.

Before experiencing Ja’Shayla’s music, I spoke extensively with her management, the Academy Music Group's CEO, Dion Bramble. Ending the conversation, I was very much perked to hear what these tracks would sound like soon to hit my inbox, and I must tell you that there was total excitement having heard the three tracks from Ja’Shayla that were sent over. Both “I Make It Hot”, “Only you” and “Si Papi” feature vocals that I can only describe as a soothing harmonic vibe settled perfectly on a beat. When this diva debuts on the global stage, she will be creating nothing less than a firestorm. Ja’Shayla can sing!

This songstress was born in Toledo, Ohio and from the age of seven she began writing her own lyrics and melodies, performing in various state talent shows. She progressed at the age of thirteen to recording songs and this has been of great benefit to her, as not only can she sing but she can also engineer her own recording sessions.

Producers all over New York have been clamouring to work with this soon to be mega star. That’s right! You read it here on MNI Alive, that Ja’Shayla will be a global mega star. The motions to accomplish this are already in place as the promoter for the International Peace Festival in Africa, having heard Ja’Shayla’s songs, wasted less than a minute in confirming her as an act to appear at one of Africa’s largest music festivals in November of this year on the Ivory Coast.

In addition to the International Peace Festival concert in Africa, her debut album, “No Return” is currently in its production stages and will be executively produced by one of New York’s top hit-makers - a platinum selling hit-maker in fact.

Ja’Shayla, on her road to stardom, has so far graced the stages of the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York and the Fox Theatre in Detroit. She has additionally done work with music powerbrokers such as P. Diddy, Wyclef Jean, Prince Charles Alexander, Rich Nice and Doc Holiday. All these experiences have helped to add the sexy edge to her vocals and her music
This is the world of Ja’Shayla and special mention must be given to Dion Bramble and Sydaiya Rehema of Academy Music Group for recognizing such an immense talent.

In case you are thinking you recognise Ja’Shayla, you may be correct, as she was a finalist in season three of P. Diddy’s “Making the Band.” In addition, her 2010 release, entitled “Si Papi” – the official response Usher’s “Hey Daddy”– gained global attention within two days of its release. Her vocals on this track are again superb.

Her exposure on the music circuit amongst the who’s who has gained her complimentary comments from industry veterans such as Prince Charles Alexander who told Ja’Shayla, “After working with you, I know you can do anything, any type of music I want to throw at you.”

Also, celebrity vocal coach, Craig Derry, described Ja’Shayla as a vocal John Coltrane, whilst Record label executive Andre Harrell proclaimed, “She’s ready to perform next to Janet Jackson.”

With such massive names rooting for her and with the talent she possesses being continually defined and gaining her fanatical recognition, it is simply a matter of time before we hear of this sassy lady chasing hard on the heels of current sensations, Rihanna and Beyonce.
