Bio
Jasmine Commerce grew up in a musical household in Herndon, VA, a suburb of Washington, D.C. Forced to play violin by age 9 because the family had inherited one from her grandfather, Jasmine began her formal musical training at a young age. By 10 years old Jasmine was writing her own songs. Influenced heavily by the folk music to which her parents exposed her, and her poet grandmother, Jasmine naturally picked up a guitar in high school and songs began flowing out. She continued to pursue music through college, relocated to San Diego, CA, and today she and her brother, Matt Commerce write and perform music for a living. Jasmine's love for poetry and her orchestral background give her songs lyrical depth and melodic dynamics.
