Bio

Jasmine Wietzke is currently a solo artist who is very much influenced by the bands "tool", "staind", "nirvana" and "the cranberries". Her music would follow along the lines of those bands in an slower/acoustic form.

Jasmine got a guitar for christmas when she was 10 and began taking classical lessons. After a year, she would decide she wasn't interested in that road and put the guitar down. When she was 12, she began taking singing lessons because she loved to sing, but she was deathly scared to sing in front of anyone, including her parents.

Entering high school, she made many friends that were musicians and so she decided to start taking regular guitar lessons. She then started to write songs with her close friends at the age of 14. She slowly began to get comfortable singing in front of her friends and her parents and had started to get really good feedback about her singing. She then got more confidence and was thinking of entering the "battle of the bands" at school. They were the only acoustic act, so it was intimidating. She performed the song "zombie" with my friend and became known as "the zombie girl" around school.

Ever since she got the confidence from the crowd of knowing she had talent, she hasn't stopped pursuing her career as a musician. She continues to write songs on her own now, as her other friends have gone down different roads.

She has accomplished making it to the "top 50 in the world" for this years "Rockstar:Supernova" and was flown to L.A. to audition in front of Tommy Lee, Gilby Clarke and Jason Newstead. She didn't make it because she wasn't 21. The experience gave her even more confidence, which encouraged her to enter local singing/songwriting competitions. Right now, she has just recently got a call from "Right Direction Management" asking if they wanted to do a demo with her in Nashville.
