Biography
Jason Maxwell is a country singer-songwriter and recording artist from Thornhill, Ontario. His passion for singing was apparent at a very young age, singing around the house for family and friends. Jason picked up a guitar at 12 years old and his musical aspirations have since flourished into a career as a full-time artist.
One of Ontario’s most sought-after performers, Jason’s inaugural 2017 touring schedule featured +50 performances at various Festivals, Fairs & Concert Series including notable venues & events such as: The Canadian Tulip Festival, The KEE to Bala, Milverton & Norfolk RAM Rodeo, Canada’s Largest Ribfest (Burlington), Niagara Grape & Wine Festival, & Casino Rama.
Early on in his
career, Jason has already shared the stage with:
• Chad Brownlee – MDM Recordings/Universal Music Canada
• The Reklaws – Starseed Entertainment/Universal Music Canada
• J.J. Shiplett – Entertainment One/Warner Music Canada
Jason will be sharing the
stage with the following group before 2017 is done:
• The Washboard Union –
Slaight/Warner Music Canada
In 2017, Jason released his debut EP “Cruising” with 2 singles going to radio – “Constellation Conversation” & “Ain’t No Place I’d Rather Be”. Both tracks were added to rotation at over 40 radio stations across Canada with “Constellation Conversation” peaking at #161 on the iTunes Top 200 Country Songs Chart.
Jason’s following continues to grow on social media, particularly on Instagram as he has amassed over 12,000 followers in just 1 year of touring. His ever-growing fan base is a true testament to how Jason connects & interacts with his fans – in response, they have provided an immense level of unwavering support throughout his young career.
Jason’s musical influences set him apart from others in the industry, as they aren’t exactly what you would expect from a traditional country singer. Jason’s style provides a fresh perspective on country music by blending classic rock vibes and even some hints of pop/hip-hop with traditional country instrumentation. Some of his musical influences include: Zac Brown Band, Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, John Mayer and many more.
Jason is a proud supporter of the Carley’s Angels foundation, a charity named after vocalist/musician Carley Elle Allison. The foundation is dedicated to helping sick children and their families manage costly healthcare issues. Jason headlined the 2017 Concert 4 Carley’s Angels & he is already committed to performing at the 2018 event.
In an industry that seemingly has no shortage of talented artists, it is sometimes hard to stand out from the crowd - this is one problem that Jason certainly does not have. His relentless drive for his career, unmatched dedication to his music, and endless devotion to his fans has put him in the position to become one of the top up-and-coming Canadian Country Music artists on the scene.
Jason would love your consideration regarding booking entertainment for your event. He would be very thankful and humbled by the opportunity to have a place for his fans to see him perform as well as a chance to interact with anyone in attendance that enjoys his performance.
