BIOGRAPHY:
Honing his craft in coffeehouses in Buffalo and New York , Jason moved on to play the famed Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center before releasing his debut CD "Between Head and Heart." Less than a year after his CD was released, he opened for the rock band Pure Prairie League ("Amie") at the Artpark Amphitheater in the HSBC-sponsored “Concerts at the Gorge” Series. Superstar producer David Foster even commented to him after hearing him perform "Lying Under the Moon": "That sounds like something I would have written..." Local TV and press. Lots of internet radio play, where his songs have become some of the top user-rated. A lot of exciting things have been happening recently!

His debut CD, “Between Head and Heart,” is a finely-crafted, often intimate, collection of original songs that range from piano ballads to funkier rock- and Latin-inspired tracks. Jason tries to write songs of sincerity and simplicity that are melody-driven and have lyrics that are universal but not clichéd.

His voice has been described as a cross between Elton John and Josh Groban, and his songwriting mirrors that of today’s hitmakers like James Blunt and Five For Fighting. He strives for honesty in his vocal performance, keeping it free of overwrought histrionics.

“I feel like music is a common denominator. We’re all living life, and go through a lot of the same things. I like it when people hear my songs and find that the words I write are things they feel, but maybe haven’t been able to articulate,” says Jason.

The lyrics throughout the CD have fans saying “That’s me.” Whether you need an extra shove to get over a relationship (Track 1 “It’s Called Movin’ On”) or simply need a moment to remember (Track 10 “A Welcome in Your Smile”), you find it on “Between Head and Heart”.

“When someone tells me that a song of mine moved them because they’ve felt those same sentiments in their own life, it really makes me feel great. That I can connect with people on that level and give them encouragement in a challenging time in their lives is, honestly, something I’m very thankful for.”

The CD “Between Head and Heart” is available online at www.cdbaby.com/cd/jasonbravo, www.amazon.com, www.itunes.com and in the Buffalo area at Borders Books and Music and Barnes and Noble.

It's Called Movin' On

Written By: Jason Bravo; additional music by Gregory Bravo

Verse 1:
What do you do when you want someone so bad
But the situation’s turned pathetic and sad?
You know it’s wrong, but you’re just dyin’ to call
Though you know you mean nothin’ to them at all.

It’s a crazy situation. It’s a lack of faith.
Start believin’ that tomorrow will be okay.

CHORUS:
IT’S CALLED MOVIN’ ON.
It’s called gettin’ on with your life.
It’s called turnin’ the page
gettin’ past the pain of this knife.
It’s called letting go
Of things that are bad for your soul.
IT’S CALLED MOVIN’ ON
And keepin’ your happiness within your control.

(Hook)…Yeah yeah’s

Verse 2:
It’s like a cold that just keeps lingering on;
It comes right back just when you think that it’s gone.
You love the shoulder you keep lookin’ behind,
But exactly what were you expectin’ to find?

Some kind of different situation from what it was before?
When you spill a cup of poison, you don’t ask for more.

CHORUS

Bridge:
When you know that it’s gone, you know you’ve got to move on.
Stop twistin’ the knife, and take back your life.

(Instrumental)

It’s a crazy situation. It’s a lack of faith.
Start believin’ that tomorrow will be okay.

CHORUS

(Hook)…Yeah yeah’s

Please Don't Say You Love Me

Written By: Jason Bravo

Verse 1:
Our telephone conversations
Are little more than “hello” and “goodbye.”
In between those words, nothing’s heard;
Not a heartbeat, not a sigh.

But there are times when you think
the silence is too great.
Three small words can break the ice,
But it’s madness they create.

CHORUS:
PLEASE DON’T SAY YOU LOVE ME just because you need something to say.
Don’t hold onto words that should be left in yesterday.
Show me how you used to be kind: Let me go. Don’t live a lie.
PLEASE DON’T SAY YOU LOVE ME. Please just say goodbye.

Verse 2:
You don’t wanna say the reason
Why you don’t dream about me anymore.
That’s okay; words get in the way.
I know you don’t feel the way you did before.

So why keep holding on
When you know the way you feel?
Why break a heart with words
That should be meant and said to heal?

(Verse Instrumental)

So don’t keep holding on
When you know the way you feel.
Don’t break a heart with words
That should be meant and said to heal.

Lying Under the Moon

Written By: Jason Bravo

Verse 1:
Every star is out; without a doubt.
Anyone can see it’s a perfect night.
And I’m doing well. You can tell;
If you saw me now, you’d see that I’m all right.

If I keep talking, then maybe one day
I’ll believe all the things I say.

CHORUS:
I’m lying under the stars tonight.
LYING UNDER THE MOON.
I’m lying here without you
Still thinking about you.
But I’m gonna move on from this:
I’ll be done with it soon.
See, the hurt is dying
And I’m through with crying
And I’m LYING----UNDER THE MOON…Under the moon.

Verse 2:
Hope you’re over me, ‘cause you see,
My head’s not full of you and I’m sleeping fine.
Though it’s been awhile, I can smile,
Even laugh about it all from time to time.

If I keep talking, then maybe I’ll start
Drowning out the feelings in my heart.

CHORUS:
I’m lying under the stars tonight.
LYING UNDER THE MOON.
I’m lying here without you
Still thinking about you.
But I’m gonna move on from this.
I’ll be done with it soon.
See, the hurt is dying
And I’m through with crying
And I’m LYING----(UNDER THE MOON).

Bridge:
It’s easier to live with the lies
Than try to forget your smile, your laugh, your eyes.
I know it’s wrong, but now it’s really all I can do
Until I’m over you.

CHORUS:
I’m lying under the stars tonight.
LYING UNDER THE MOON.
I’m lying here without you
Still thinking about you.
But I’m gonna move on from this.
I’ll be done with it soon.
See, the hurt is dying
And I’m through with crying
And I’m lying, still LYING----UNDER THE MOON…Under the moon.

I Can't Find Any Water

Written By: Jason Bravo

CHORUS II:
I can’t find any. Uh uh uh uh. What can I do?
I can’t find any. Uh uh uh uh. All because of you.

(Hook)

Verse 1:
Feel like I’m losin’ my grip and my strength
But I’m holdin’ on with all of my might.
Why do you make it so hard on me baby?
Only you can make it all right.

You’re hot, then you’re cold. This game is gettin’ old
‘Cause you say you won’t open the door.
You smile, then you flirt. It kinda doesn’t hurt;
Only makes me want you more (want you more, want you more).

CHORUS I:
I CAN’T FIND ANY WATER.
All the rivers might as well run dry. Ah ah ah.
I CAN’T FIND ANY WATER.
But I keep lookin’ to the sky. Ah ah ah.

(Hook)

Verse 2:
Feel like I’m stuck in a room with no window
And you’re the only one with the key.
You let your light underneath the door
But then you never shine it on me.

You’re cold, then you’re hot. You’re nice and then you’re not.
I try but I can’t figure you out.
I’m not unaware: I see you when you stare.
Tell me, what is that about (that about, that about)?

CHORUS I:
I CAN’T FIND ANY WATER.
All the rivers might as well run dry. Ah ah ah.
I CAN’T FIND ANY WATER.
But I keep lookin’ to the sky. Ah ah ah.

CHORUS II:
I can’t find any. Uh uh uh uh. What can I do?
I can’t find any. Uh uh uh uh. All because of you.

(Hook)
(Instrumental)

You’re cold, then you’re hot. You’re nice and then you’re not.
I try but I can’t figure you out.
I’m not unaware. I see you when you stare.
Tell me, what is that about (that about, that about)?

(Repeat CHORUS I and II)

The Champion

Written By: Jason Bravo

VERSE 1:
Just because I think of you all the time
(It) Doesn’t mean I’m fallin’ fast.
(It) Doesn’t mean that this could last.

Just because you make me feel like you do
(It) Doesn’t mean it’s meant to be.
(It) Doesn’t mean you’re meant for me.

CHORUS:
But I can’t let go
of the dream I have inside.
When I look at you, I know
it’s a feeling I cannot fight.
Every time I think of us,
Between head and heart it’s obvious
The dream is gonna be THE CHAMPION.

(I’m almost done.
It’s almost won:
THE CHAMPION.)

VERSE 2:
Maybe they could. Maybe they would.
Maybe fantasies come true,
Maybe fantasies with you.

I don’t wanna say things to scare you away
‘Cause if you don’t feel as strong,
Then everything could turn out wrong.

Repeat CHORUS

BRIDGE:
I’m down for the count: I’m losin’ this.
I close my eyes and I feel your kiss.
Whatever the risk that there might be,
I’ll take it if there’s a chance
You’ll be with me.

CHORUS:
‘Cause I can’t let go
of the dream I have inside.
When I look at you, I know
it’s a feeling I cannot fight.
Every time I think of us,
Between head and heart it’s obvious
The dream is gonna be THE CHAMPION.

(I’m almost done.
It’s almost won:
THE CHAMPION.)

The Right Way to Touch You

Written By: Jason Bravo

Verse 1:
I wanna be the one that you come runnin’ to
So don’t hesitate to tell me what you need for me to do.
I wanna do whatever so that we can stay together
And make it so you never wanna say goodbye.

I wanna tangle all the passions in my soul
With every kind of fantasy until we lose control.
But there is just a little burn until you take the time to learn
How to satisfy. Now I know…

CHORUS:
THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH YOU (ooh)
THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH YOU (oh)
THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH YOU (ooh)
Is on the inside. The inside.

Verse 2:
I wanna be the only one you’re livin’ for
And know that any other man could never give you more.
Every time you look at me I wanna know you’re gonna see
Your vision of a fantasy in my eyes.

I used to think caressing the horizon of your skin
Was the only thing that I should do for you to let me in.
But now I know that won’t suffice in making life a paradise.
Now I realize. Now I know…

CHORUS:
THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH YOU (ooh)
THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH YOU (oh)
THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH YOU (ooh)
Is on the inside. The inside.

Bridge:
You know how to get to me and every nerve inside of me
Thanks you in advance for this.
Every little thing you do tells me that I’m getting through;
I feel it in your kiss.

CHORUS:
THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH YOU (ooh)
THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH YOU (oh)
THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH YOU (ooh)
Is on the inside. The inside. Yeah. The inside…

It's Not My Time

Written By: Jason Bravo

IT’S NOT MY TIME
(Words and music by Jason Bravo)

Verse 1:
No one’s wearing black as far as I can see.
No one’s sending flowers to my family.
I’ve studied every eye: I haven’t seen a tear.
I’m still here. IT’S NOT MY TIME.

Verse 2:
No one’s said a prayer or covered up their face.
I haven’t heard a single verse of “Amazing Grace.”
But for a moment, I thought that it might be
Over for me, but IT’S NOT MY TIME.

Bridge:
This situation seemed hopeless, too much for one soul to take,
But I am a branch that is bending, and there’s no way I can break.
I’ve looked at the reality.
I’ve looked in the mirror
And then inside of me
And I know IT’S NOT MY TIME.

(Verse instrumental)

Bridge:
This situation seemed hopeless, too much for one soul to take,
But I am a branch that is bending. There’s no way I’m gonna break.
I’ve looked at the reality.
I’ve looked in the mirror
And then inside of me
And I know IT’S NOT MY TIME.

Verse 3:
There’s gonna be a time I think about today
When all this complication will seem so far away.
But while I’m in the eye of the storm and the test,
I’m not gonna rest. IT’S NOT MY TIME.

Bridge:
This situation seemed hopeless, too much for one soul to take,
But I am a branch that is bending, and there’s no way I can break.
I’ve looked at the reality.
Looked in the mirror
And then inside of me
And I know IT’S NOT MY TIME.
Lord, I know IT’S NOT MY TIME.
